Following the news of Indian students being harassed and beaten on the borders of countries surrounding Ukraine, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a bold decision of deploying four Union Ministers in four surrounding countries of Ukraine to evacuate Indian students safely.
Government resources say, “Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju and Gen (Retd) VK Singh will travel to neighbouring countries of Ukraine to coordinate the evacuation mission and help students”.
In the last 24 hours, Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting where the responsibility of ensuring the safe return of Indian nationals was shouldered by four Union ministers.
He emphasised that returning these students safely back to their country is our top-most priority. The meeting also discussed how to ensure greater cooperation with the neighbouring countries of Ukraine to smooth the process.
Under the bold leadership of Narendra Modi, Operation Ganga has been launched that will bring back Indians safely and soundly to their families and their motherland. Special flights are being organised by Air India for the same.
Meanwhile, yet another flight carrying Indian students stuck in Ukraine has landed in Delhi this morning.
