In a light-hearted and humorous incident at a recent event hosted by the Ambani family in Mumbai, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor had an unexpected encounter with US social media influencer Julia Chafe and her husband, Bruno. Julia shared the amusing story on Instagram, detailing how Bruno interacted with Arjun multiple times during the event.

A Starstruck Encounter

Julia’s Instagram video recounts how Bruno first met Arjun Kapoor, introduced by fashion designer Prabal Gurung at the star-studded Ambani wedding. Clearly excited, Bruno exclaimed, “I was like, the movie star?” He even managed to snap a picture with Arjun.

The story didn’t end there. Bruno ran into Arjun again at a party the following night. He eagerly approached the actor, saying, “Arjun, what’s up?” To which Arjun responded, “Yes, I remember you from last night.” In a moment of fan admiration, Bruno said, “You’re in Gunday, right?” Arjun confirmed with a good-natured “Yes, yes, yes.”

An Invitation to New York

Bruno’s enthusiasm peaked when he told Arjun, “They don’t make actors like you in America. You gotta come to New York. The actors here suck. We need you.” Arjun, seemingly amused, wrapped up the conversation with a simple “All right. Bye.” As Bruno shouted, “Bye, Arjun,” Julia noted that Arjun seemed to roll his eyes, possibly in a mix of amusement and mild exasperation.

The final encounter happened as Julia and Bruno were rushing to catch their flight back to New York. Spotting Arjun on a golf cart, Bruno couldn’t resist shouting another goodbye, cementing what he humorously perceived as a budding friendship.Julia’s post, titled “How Bruno Harassed Bollywood Star #ArjunKapoor at the #AmbaniWedding,” captures this playful interaction, giving fans a glimpse into the sometimes quirky encounters celebrities have with their admirers.

Bad Newz edited

After a dip on Monday, the film saw a slight recovery in its earnings on Tuesday, showcasing a promising trend as it continues to attract audiences across India.

Box Office Performance

According to Sacnilk.com, “Bad Newz” has garnered approximately ₹37 crore in India as of day five. The film, which premiered on July 19, had an opening day collection of ₹8.3 crore. It continued to perform well over the weekend, earning ₹10.25 crore on day two and ₹11.15 crore on day three. However, the film experienced a decline on day four, with earnings dropping to ₹3.5 crore. On Tuesday, the box office collection slightly improved, bringing in ₹3.75 crore, leading to a total of ₹36.95 crore.

Plot Overview

“Bad Newz” takes a unique comedic approach, exploring the rare phenomenon of heteropaternal superfecundation. The story centers on a woman, played by Triptii Dimri, who becomes pregnant with twins from two different fathers, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. The film is seen as a spiritual successor to the 2019 hit “Good Newwz,” which featured an ensemble cast including Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.

Critical Reception

While “Bad Newz” has been noted for relying on some stereotypical portrayals, such as Punjabis’ love for rajma chawal and the trope of ‘mumma’s boys,’ it also includes cleverly crafted meta-jokes. Notable moments include references to Dimri as ‘Bhabhi 2’ and ‘National Crush,’ as well as a playful nod to Kaushal’s character preventing Virk from discarding a photo of Katrina Kaif, humorously stating, “Iske liye toh tujhe meri laash se guzarna hoga” (you’ll have to go over my dead body).

Stay tuned to Mumbai Uncensored News for more updates on the box office performance of “Bad Newz” and other Bollywood releases.
