According to authorities, a 35-year-old lady was fatally stabbed on Wednesday by two contract assassins her 71-year-old husband reportedly hired. Around 2.30 pm, the event happened in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden neighbourhood, according to reports
Police arrived at the scene and discovered the woman had died. Her body bore several stab wounds.According to a senior police official, an investigation found that the victim married SK Gupta in November of last year
According to the investigation, Gupta married the woman with the expectation that she would care for his physically handicapped and cerebral palsy-suffering son Amit (45), but that did not materialise. Gupta eventually made the decision to divorce his wife, but she wanted Rs. 1 million, according to him He said, “He did not want to give in to her demand, but he wanted to get rid of the woman at any cost.”
Police said that Gupta interacted with accused Vipin, who used to drive his son Amit to the hospital. He conspired to have his wife killed alongside Vipin, along with his son. He also gave a 2.40 lakh advance after promising Vipin 10 lakh to kill her
According to the plot, the victim was stabbed at Gupta’s home by the accused Vipin and Himanshu. Both defendants suffered injuries. The officer claimed that in order to give the impression that a robbery had occurred, they trashed the home and confiscated both the victim’s and Amit’s mobile phones.
The police claimed that Amit was there at home when the murder occurred.
According to the investigation, four people were detained in relation to the incident: SK Gupta, his son Amit, Vipin Sethi (45), and Himanshu (20), two contract assassins
They have admitted to taking part in the crime. Police said they are working to find phones, blood-stained clothing, and scooters used in criminal activity.
