Dr. Kulsum Husain, Founder – Iridia Dental
Dr. Kulsum Husain is a dental surgeon and the founder of Iridia Dental. Currently specializing in implant dentistry with the European Association of Osseointegration, she focuses on creating calm, clear, and pain-free dental experiences. Her mission is to help people achieve the version of their smile they have always envisioned, regardless of age. For her, technology plays a vital role—it enables precision, personalization, and a sense of control that benefits both dentist and patient alike.
Her journey into dentistry began much like many in the healthcare field—guided by academic merit and a desire to help people. While her initial motivation came from a wish to contribute to others’ happiness and well-being, she grew increasingly passionate about the discipline during her later years in dental school. The interpersonal aspect of dentistry, combined with her academic curiosity, shaped her path. Her foray into entrepreneurship was a natural evolution—driven by her vision of creating a dental space that reflects her own standards of care and her city’s growing needs.
From interning at the Government Dental College in Bombay to training at the University of Malmö in Sweden, Dr. Kulsum’s professional path has been defined by lifelong learning. Mentored by a trailblazing woman dentist early in her career, she imbibed the values of fearlessness and relentless curiosity. Her experiences across India and abroad exposed her to groundbreaking advances in painless and comfortable dentistry. With Iridia Dental, she is building a state-of-the-art practice that embodies her philosophy of thoughtful, patient-centered design.
Dr. Kulsum draws inspiration from the women in her family—academics, artists, doctors, and homemakers—whose strength and adaptability have deeply influenced her. One of her biggest challenges has been overcoming the invisible expectations often placed on women—the unspoken radar that defines what is “acceptable.” Recognizing and moving past that conditioning has been part of her personal growth.
Beyond her profession, she constantly seeks new challenges—whether learning to solve Rubik’s cubes, cycling extensively, or immersing herself in poetry. She has written a book titled Metropolis Mastery and is currently working on a science-fiction novel. She also enjoys connecting with students and communities through travel and conversation.
For aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals, her message is simple yet profound: entrepreneurship requires self-awareness, curiosity, kindness, and endurance. One must build something true to their own standards rather than to others’ expectations, continue refining their craft, and collaborate with people who inspire excellence.
Dr. Kulsum believes her success story is still being written, with Iridia Dental marking its next exciting chapter. To her, entrepreneurship is a spiritual journey—one that tests resilience and reveals inner strength. The lessons she has drawn from marathon running, family, and writing have shaped her as both a person and a professional. She resonates deeply with Leonardo da Vinci’s belief that knowledge flows between disciplines, enriching every aspect of one’s work. For her, the guiding principle is simple yet powerful: do no harm. Through Iridia Dental and beyond, she aims to keep learning, growing, and making a lasting positive impact on the lives of those who trust her.
Bhakti Arora Kapoor, Consulting Nutritionist
For Bhakti Arora Kapoor, nutrition is far more than calories and diets — it is a science, an art, and above all, a way to heal. An award-winning Nutritionist and passionate advocate for holistic wellness, Bhakti has spent her career helping people rediscover balance, vitality, and confidence through food. Guided by both compassion and science, she believes that “food is medicine, and every bite tells your body how to behave.”
Her journey into nutrition began with a deep curiosity about the power of food. To Bhakti, food was never just about taste — it was about transformation. This passion led her to pursue a professional degree in Food Science and Nutrition, laying the foundation for her career. Over the years, she has worked with clients across the globe, guiding them through challenges ranging from hormonal imbalances and PCOS to diabetes, autoimmune conditions, and weight struggles. Each transformation reinforced her belief that healing lies not in quick fixes or restrictive diets, but in sustainable, mindful choices made every day.
“Healing doesn’t happen overnight; it happens in the small choices you make every day,” she says, a philosophy that has shaped both her work and her personal growth.
What inspires her most is not a single icon, but the people she works with — clients who show resilience, determination, and trust in her guidance. Yet her own journey has not been without challenges. As a woman and a mother of two, she has had to balance family responsibilities with professional ambition, often navigating the weight of societal expectations. But each challenge only strengthened her resolve. “Strength is built in the moments when you refuse to give up,” she reflects, embodying the very resilience she encourages in others.
Outside her consultations, Bhakti continues to live her philosophy of wellness. She finds joy in curating wholesome, exciting recipes for her children, writing about food science, collaborating with wellness brands, and speaking to larger audiences about holistic health. A passionate traveler, she draws inspiration from global cuisines and cultures, always finding ways to weave them back into India’s own rich tradition of superfoods. For her, every experience — whether in the kitchen, on stage, or across borders — becomes a source of learning and creativity.
Her message to aspiring professionals and entrepreneurs is rooted in authenticity and patience: “True success is never about speed — it’s about sustainability. When passion meets perseverance, success becomes inevitable.”
Aartii Khuraana, Founder – The Mystic Mile
Aartii Khuraana, the founder of The Mystic Mile, is an international tarot card reader and healer whose work blends intuition, energy, and empowerment. Her journey with Tarot began in 2007 — what started as curiosity soon became a spiritual calling to understand unseen energies and guide others toward clarity and transformation.
With over 15 years of corporate experience across countries, Aartii witnessed how stress and self-doubt often hold people back from living their fullest potential. Tarot became her compass, helping her connect deeply with people and guide them through life’s turning points. Over time, she expanded her practice to include Access Bars, EFT, affirmations, and light healing frequencies — creating a holistic path to emotional and spiritual wellness.
Through The Mystic Mile, she now helps individuals heal, manifest, and rediscover their inner magic. Whether it’s a one-on-one session or a corporate event, Aartii’s goal remains the same — to bring light, alignment, and empowerment to every soul she meets.
Her biggest inspiration is her mother — a symbol of strength, compassion, and grace — whose teachings continue to guide Aartii’s journey. Transitioning from a stable corporate career to a full-time healer wasn’t without challenges, but Aartii turned competition into motivation, letting her authenticity and consistency build her credibility.
Beyond her work, she follows Buddhism, finding peace through chanting, meditation, and mindfulness. She balances spirituality with laughter, creativity, and self-care — believing that harmony comes from nurturing both the soul and the senses.
Aartii’s message to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple yet profound: “Believe in yourself and trust the universe. If your passion comes from the heart, success will follow.” For her, success isn’t a final destination but a continuous journey of growth, gratitude, and purpose — one she embraces with light, love, and unwavering faith.
Dr. Tarvin Kaur, Renowned Dental cosmetologist & Implantologist
With over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Tarvin Kaur has built a reputation as one of the leading dental cosmetologists and implantologists in the country. A graduate of Boston University, she represents the perfect blend of science, precision, and artistry in dentistry. For her, dentistry is far more than a medical profession — it’s a form of healing that transforms not just smiles, but lives.
Her passion for dentistry stems from the field’s unique ability to combine science with art, allowing her to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. What truly fulfills her is the human connection it offers — understanding patients’ stories, building trust, easing fears, and restoring their confidence. In an increasingly AI-driven world, Dr. Kaur believes this human touch is what keeps her passion for dentistry alive.
Beyond her thriving clinical practice at New Age Dental Care, Dr. Kaur is deeply committed to education. Her message to aspiring professionals is clear and powerful: success isn’t built overnight — it’s earned through consistency, integrity, and passion. Strive for excellence, not just achievement. When your work comes from purpose and heart, success will follow naturally.
Palak Shah, Founder – La Maison Creative
At just 19, Palak Shah published her first internationally released book, Peach, Plum and Damson, marking the beginning of a journey defined by creativity, resilience, and reinvention. By the age of 21, she launched her first venture, a café, where she discovered the power of social media first hand. Over 70% of the café’s growth came organically through Instagram, and when people began asking who was behind the brand’s online presence, the answer was simple it was her. What began as a necessity soon evolved into passion, giving birth to her career in brand storytelling and strategy.
With a strong foundation in visual storytelling and creative communication, Palak naturally gravitated toward content creation and brand building. Her understanding of narrative and design, combined with a strategic mindset, led her to establish La Maison Creative, an agency that crafts brands with both purpose and profitability at their core. For Palak, La Maison Creative isn’t just a business it’s a reflection of her philosophy and passion.
Her outlook on life and leadership has been deeply shaped by the autobiographies she admires. From I Am Malala, she learned that courage has no age; from Long Walk to Freedom, that conviction gives meaning to vision; from Shoe Dog, that obsession builds empires; from Becoming, that evolution is power; and from Wings of Fire, that dreams are responsibilities, not fantasies.
Palak believes that success is built on consistency, integrity, and purpose. She approaches her work with commitment and authenticity, focusing on delivering value and creating impact. Her advice to aspiring professionals is simple yet powerful: fail fast, explore fearlessly, and commit fully because life rewards action far more than hesitation.
Nikita Shah, Founder – Manek Jewells
Nikita Shah, the founder of Manek Jewells, is a self-made entrepreneur who turned her lifelong passion for handcrafted beadwork into a thriving jewelry brand. What began as a childhood skill soon became her identity and purpose. After years dedicated to her family and home, Nikita found herself at a crossroads during the 2020 lockdown—a time that reignited her long-held dream of building something of her own. She had always known that a regular job wasn’t for her; she wanted to be her own boss, to create, and to lead.
With determination, she crafted her first handmade necklace and shared it in a group, not expecting much. To her surprise, she received an order for five necklaces the very next day. Working late into the night, she poured her heart into completing the order, and her client’s appreciation marked the start of an inspiring journey. The road was not easy—balancing household responsibilities, enduring the strain of intricate beadwork, and facing skepticism from others who called her craft “small work.” But Nikita was undeterred. She had made up her mind to grow, to build her brand, and to prove that no work is ever too small when done with dedication.
As orders began to grow, her husband and son stood by her side, supporting her vision. Then came the defining moment of her journey—the day she received a large order for the Adani wedding. It felt like a dream come true, a moment when years of hard work, sleepless nights, and persistence finally paid off. By 2024, just four years after starting her venture, Nikita’s world had completely transformed. Her creations now travel across the globe—to Dubai, Canada, London, and Malaysia—and she leads a talented team that shares her passion for handcrafted art.
For Nikita, success is not just personal—it’s about empowerment. She now provides work opportunities to other women, especially homemakers who aspire to become financially independent. Through Manek Jewells, she aims to inspire others to believe in themselves, to listen to their inner voice, and to never let societal opinions hold them back. Her message is simple yet powerful: if you truly believe in your dream and pursue it with unwavering effort, success will surely follow.
Today, Nikita proudly says that her identity is no longer just her name—it is Manek Jewells. For her, there can be no greater joy than knowing that her perseverance turned a small spark of passion into a shining brand recognized around the world.
Ankur Batra, Founder – House of Rayadi
Ankur Batra, founder of the brand House of Rayadi, has always believed in keeping a clear heart and trusting the journey. Guided by the wisdom that “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” she has built a career that beautifully blends passion, resilience, and creativity.
As an entrepreneur, she specializes in creating handmade jewellery and clothing, a craft that allows her to infuse each piece with authenticity and individuality. For Ankur, innovation is not just about making something different; it’s about creating with purpose and heart, pushing boundaries, and offering a fresh perspective to the world around her.
Her journey has been shaped by balance — juggling entrepreneurship, household responsibilities, and parenting. While demanding, it has also nurtured independence and strength. Every small victory, from witnessing her children’s smiles to celebrating their milestones, has been a reminder that love and dedication make the struggles worthwhile.
Ankur draws inspiration from her father, whose unwavering support, imagination, and ability to see endless possibilities shaped her own creative spirit. Yet, being a single mother has been both one of her greatest challenges and her proudest roles. It has required immense resilience, patience, and courage, but has also brought immeasurable pride and fulfillment.
Beyond House of Rayadi, she contributes to her family business, playing an active role in their liquor empire. This experience has not only sharpened her professional skills but also deepened her understanding of growth and efficiency in business. Despite her many roles, she treasures her time at home, cherishing simple moments with her family.
To aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals, Ankur’s message is rooted in resilience and authenticity. She believes challenges are inevitable but sees them as stepping stones to success. Failures, in her eyes, are valuable lessons that shape one’s path. For her, continuous learning, adaptability, meaningful connections, and staying true to one’s vision are the real cornerstones of growth.
For Ankur, success is not defined by titles or accolades but by the values she carries — hard work and self-belief. These, she says, are the two pillars of every achievement. By embracing challenges and committing wholeheartedly to her vision, she has built a journey that reflects not only her entrepreneurial spirit but also her strength as a woman, mother, and creator.
Sonali Ashar
For Sonali Ashar, design has never been just a profession—it has been a lifelong passion nurtured since childhood. Growing up, thanks to her mother, she was immersed in a steady diet of interior journals and was captivated by the aesthetic sensibilities of icons like Parmeshwar Godrej, Varsha Desai, and Sunita Pitamber. This early fascination shaped her vision and gave her a clear sense of direction, ultimately leading her to pursue interior design.
With two decades of experience, Sonali’s journey began as an intern and gradually progressed to becoming a Senior Interior Designer with Hafeez Contractor, one of India’s most celebrated architects. From there, the natural progression was to branch out and establish her own design company in South Mumbai. Today, she leads projects that combine creativity with practicality, and what she finds most rewarding is witnessing spaces transform from inception to reality, while also touching and enhancing people’s lives.
For Sonali, inspiration is everywhere—in a motif, a painting, an artwork, or even in fleeting details she encounters while traveling. An unapologetic architecture enthusiast, she draws energy and fresh ideas from exploring different cultures and styles around the world. Travel, art, and discovery are not just interests but fuel for her creative journey.
Interestingly, she has never viewed her career through the lens of gender, nor faced difficulties for being a woman in the field. In her eyes, what matters most in design are ideas, aesthetic sensibility, and integrity—qualities that transcend everything else. This clarity has allowed her to focus solely on her craft and evolve into the designer she is today.
Beyond her professional work, Sonali continues to nurture her love for learning. She believes curiosity is the true driver of growth. Whether through reading, traveling, wellness practices, or pursuing new studies, she embraces opportunities to expand her perspective. Currently, she is enrolled in an art course with a leading auction house—something that reflects her belief in lifelong learning and the incredible access we now have to knowledge.
When asked about success, Sonali’s definition is simple yet profound: it is about doing what truly resonates with you, having the luxury to choose work you love, and living life on your own terms. For her, success means waking up each morning with excitement, ready to create and explore, instead of being weighed down by routine or obligation.
Sonali Ashar’s story is one of passion, persistence, and authenticity. From a young girl inspired by design journals to a woman leading her own design company, her journey stands as a reminder that staying true to one’s calling and curiosity can create a life filled with both purpose and joy.
Vedika Ghotane, Founder – Empathize
For Vedika Ghotane, impact was never about chasing grand plans—it began with simply showing up where help was needed. In her 11th grade, she started scribing for visually-impaired students during exams. What seemed like a small act of service slowly revealed a bigger truth: while many young people wanted to volunteer, there was no structured way to connect them with those who needed support. That gap inspired her to create Empathize—a platform bridging visually-impaired individuals with sighted peers who volunteer as scribes for academic and professional examinations.
Today, Empathize has touched the lives of over 450 visually-impaired students and professionals across Maharashtra and beyond. But for Vedika, numbers are secondary—the real measure of success is when one student gains independence, one exam at a time. “We don’t want to grow fast and fade fast,” she explains. “We’re here for sustainable growth and real change.”
Her journey has been rooted in community, generosity, and purpose. Volunteers keep returning to scribe despite no remuneration or certificates—driven purely by the fulfillment of giving their time. For Vedika, building such a space where both students and volunteers grow together remains one of her proudest achievements.
She also acknowledges the hurdles—especially for women starting young in India. Too often, philanthropic work is dismissed as either a fallback for those “not competitive enough” or a stepping stone to politics. Yet Vedika stayed steady, holding on to her belief in empathy, kindness, and meaningful work.
Beyond Empathize, her life reflects versatility. She is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, while also engaging in global AI summits and travels across Europe. Back home in Kolhapur, she once piloted a board games venture that blossomed into a 100-member community. She finds balance in music, yoga, brisk walks, writing, and even Netflix thrillers. Professionally, her journey spans diverse industries—she has worked with Lodha Group (real estate), Shop101 (later acquired by Glance InMobi), Yaari (Indiabulls’ venture), Innov8 Coworking, and The Times of India.
To young professionals, her advice is clear: don’t chase numbers, applause, or external validation. Focus on your craft, be patient, and trust your light even when the path feels lonely.
For Vedika, true success lies not in recognition or conventional milestones but in building a life step by step—rooted in values, ethics, and patience. As she says, “In the end, a slow and purposeful life not conforming to historically celebrated milestones is better than a borrowed life.”
