Ahmedabad is currently in shock at the news of the murder of a Hindu youth named Kishan Boliya of Dhandhuka taluka by two bikers. According to the police reports, Kishan was on his way when he was shot dead. A case has been registered against the same, but the villagers are not happy with the investigation.
Sources say that Kishan shared something on his social media platform which was felt offensive to certain people of the Muslim community. Allegedly, Kishan shared an image of Prophet Muhammad. However, his social media account is set to private so police have commented nothing.
However, after Kishan knew his post was outrageous, he stayed home for some days. He left his house on Tuesday. An eyewitness confirmed that the bikers followed him and took their shot. They missed the first one. They fired again and he died on spot.
This incident has outraged the villagers. Kishan’s family refused to accept his mortal remains. However, members of some Hindu organisations intervened and convinced the family members.
In the most recent development in the case, police arrested two suspects on 27th January 2022. In Ranpur city of Botad, Hindu organizations have called for a bandh protesting the murder. Police have registered a case against five suspects.
The Home Minister of Gujarat, Harsh Sanghavi, tweeted “In the Kishan Bharwad murder case, police have nabbed two suspects at Dhandhuka in Ahmedabad. I promise justice to the victim’s family.”
