The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee was welcomed with black flags along with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” in Varanasi on Wednesday while on her way to take part in the auspicious Ganga Aarti. While the organizers of the Ganga Aarti requested her to sit on a chair, she continued to sit on the stairs.

Meanwhile, the Dy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the BJP leader Keshav Prasad Maurya took to Twitter today and posted, “Expressing dissatisfaction on hearing the chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ will not stop the people from chanting it.
