A dreadful end of love has been seen in Roorkee, Kaliyar of Uttarakhand where the lover was caught trying to dispose off his girlfriend’s dead body packed in a suitcase.
A video has gone viral on the Internet where he can be seen hiding his face when caught.
The young man named Ayaan, who is a resident of Mewar in Rajasthan, was staying in a hotel when he killed the girl, Ramsha Ansari, who came along with him. The accused was trying to escape from the hotel by putting the dead body in a suitcase but, due to the vigilance of the hotel staff, he was caught.
SP Pramendra Doval told the media that this murder was done due to love affair. Both are said to be distant relatives. On receipt of the complaint, a case will be registered. At the same time, the girl’s father told that the young man had taken her from their house, while there was a marriage ceremony going on in their house.
Ayaan, who checked into the hotel at 5 pm on March 24, was with his girlfriend Ramsha. When he came out of the hotel room at 8 pm with a blue suitcase in his hand, a staff member saw him and offered to help him. When Ayaan denied the offer and started fumbling and making excuses, that is when the hotel staff member became suspicious and he alerted the hotel manager.
The hotel manager stopped the young man and opened the suitcase and saw that the girl who had accompanied him, her dead body was found in it. It is suspected that the accused was going to throw the dead body in Ganganahar. The hotel manager informed the police control room.
Police reached the spot and took the accused into custody. During interrogation, the youth revealed his name as Gulbez, a resident of Jwalapur. He said that the girl Ramsha is a resident of Mangalore and is a student of Bikam. He doesn’t say anything more than that.
But according to eyewitnesses, when the accused was caught in the hotel, he said that the girl herself had consumed poison and that he was going to drown himself in water after disposing off the body of his girlfriend.
According to SHO Dharmendra Rathi, the body was taken into custody and transferred to the Civil Hospital mortuary. Ayaan was arrested, and the police have been questioning him in order to obtain information. Footage from CCTV cameras installed in the hotel is also being extracted to help with the investigation.
