Can’t stop rubbing yourself as the temperature soars? Welcome to the season of rashes.
Sagar Tewatia – Mumbai Uncensored, 14th April 2022
As much as we all love sunshine, T-shirts and cold beverages, we don’t think that this weather has the same association for us.
On the contrary, we think it hates us.
While we are slapping creams for some relief on these itchy spots, let us shortly jot down something for you guys so that you don’t itch during the summer.
1. Warmth Rashes!
One of the main reasons is heath rashes why most of us start scratching like kittens in the sunshine season. Warmth rash happens when your sweat vents become blocked, preventing sweat from getting evaporated.
Do you have tiny, itchy bumps on the folds of your bodies that magically appear when you sweat?
Yes?
That is heat rash, buddy. Unlike in the case of dry skin itching, do not spill heavy moisturizer on the spots to make them better. Try some good lotions to ease the itching instead. Heat hives usually heal on their own in a couple of days.
2. Sun Rash – When the sun hates you
Do you suddenly generate an itchy red rash when you step outside, which leaves you wondering if something in the air is wrong?
It indeed is. You have photodermatitis if exposure to the sun activates an itch ( usually on the front of the neck and arms).
It is best to confer with your dermatologist about this. Meanwhile, always cover yourself before leaving home and sponge in sunscreen.
3. Skin Allergies
There are so many particles hovering in the air that can cause an allergic reaction.
When you cannot identify any specific reasons for your rashes, be rest assured it is the pollen, factories, moulds and dust particles just doing their job.
While certain plants and grasses can activate rashes, many skin allergies, including Hives and Eczema, need proper therapy.
4. Air Conditioners
Isn’t it sound shocking? But it is true.
Air conditioners, or we can say our summer survival essentials, are also drying up our skin and making it itch-prone.
The fact is that the cooled air contains low humidity and hence dries up our skin pretty fast.
STAY HYDRATED.
Incredibly, we shouldn’t be even suggesting this to you.
As a thumb rule, you should wear loose-fitting clothes cotton clothes that don’t tangle moisture. Also, attempt not to scratch the affected area and see your doctor if the rash doesn’t improve in a few days.
Until next time, scratchy felines.
