Instead of ensuring fair compensation to NGOs and, consequently, laborers, these officials diverted a substantial portion—estimated between 20-22 crores—for personal gain.

Trusted sources affirm that Mr. Rameez Raja, a vigilant social worker, has sent a detailed letter to the Chief Minister outlining the corruption. Raja emphasizes the urgent need for a thorough investigation and the suspension of implicated BMC officials. The funds, he insists, rightfully belong to the laborers who toiled diligently to maintain the city’s cleanliness.

Mumbai Uncensored has obtained a copy of a letter from Mr. Hemant Sawant, additional deputy commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Department, Mumbai. Addressed to BMC Commissioner Mr. Iqbal Singh Chahal, the letter lists multiple complaints received from citizens, the Maharashtra Government, and the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Despite these grave allegations, no visible actions have been taken by the BMC.

DLH Real Estate Developer Under Scrutiny for Buildings Without Occupation Certificates

Mumbai, June 24, 2023 – Dev Land Housing (DLH), a prominent real estate developer in Mumbai, is facing scrutiny and allegations of illegality as it has come to light that many of its buildings lack the mandatory Occupation Certificates (OCs). An Occupation Certificate is a crucial document issued by local government agencies to ensure that a building complies with building codes, regulations, and laws, signifying its suitability for occupancy.

According to sources, DLH has constructed numerous buildings across Mumbai, but a significant number of them lack the necessary OCs. An RTI (Right to Information) inquiry has revealed that several legal documents related to DLH’s real estate projects are missing from government offices, raising concerns about the transparency and legality of the company’s operations.

An Occupancy Certificate is granted after a thorough assessment of various factors. Violations of floor space index (FSI) regulations have also been identified in several of the developer’s projects.
