Join us as we celebrate the women who are not only achieving greatness but also inspiring others to dream big and break their own barriers.

Nupur Kalra, Biker & Digital Creator

Nupur Kalra’s journey is a powerful reminder of how passion, when pursued with authenticity, can grow into a purposeful career. What began as a personal outlet—sharing glimpses of her life, travel, and love for biking—slowly evolved into something much bigger. As a digital content creator and biker, she’s carved a unique space for herself, inspiring countless others through her storytelling.

Her path hasn’t been without challenges. As a woman in a male-dominated space, she’s often had to push back against stereotypes and navigate safety concerns that many take for granted. But instead of letting those hurdles define her, she’s used them to fuel her growth. Today, she stands as a voice for women who dare to break norms, all while balancing her roles as a traveler, creator, and mother.

For Nupur, success isn’t measured in numbers or recognition alone—though she’s had plenty of both. It’s in the community she’s built, the brands she’s partnered with, and most importantly, the example she sets for her 10-year-old daughter and for other women who dream of following their own paths. Her message is simple but powerful: be bold, stay consistent, and tell your story without waiting for anyone’s permission.

Leena Mukhi – Renowned Brand Strategist

Leena Mukhi is a seasoned brand strategist whose expertise lies in crafting compelling narratives and establishing the unique identities of brands. Her journey began over three decades ago as a fashion designer, having graduated from Sophia College, Mumbai, with a degree in Design, alongside a Bachelor’s in Commerce from HR College, Mumbai. Balancing these dual pursuits, she discovered her passion at the intersection of art, business, and design, which led her to launch her design label, Leena & Tahira, in the early 2000s. With a boutique on Altamount Road, her portfolio expanded to include diverse ventures, from intricate clothing lines to the beauty and skincare industry.

In 2008, she embarked on a new chapter, creating her own Nail Spa in Mumbai, showcasing her ability to adapt and innovate. Her path took an intriguing turn when she joined Em & Em Personal Care in 2016, where she played a pivotal role in developing two highly successful brands, Captain Zack and Coccoon. Immersing herself in research, development, team communication, sales, and strategy, she elevated these brands to impressive heights before they were eventually sold. Her contributions didn’t stop there, as she transitioned into consulting, lending her expertise to areas like ideation, packaging, and manufacturing. Her work has also included serving as a COO consultant for a South Korean aesthetic brand.

Leena draws inspiration from everyday women who masterfully balance the demands of family and career. As a mother of two accomplished daughters—a dentist in the US and an interior designer in the UK—she takes pride in seeing them thrive, mirroring her own values of resilience and determination.

The path to success has not been without challenges. Leena acknowledges the obstacles, setbacks, and doubts that come with building something meaningful. Yet, she believes the rewards of perseverance and resilience make the journey worthwhile. Beyond her professional life, Leena’s passions include traveling, dance workouts, music, reading, and meaningful conversations. She values time spent with loved ones and thrives in vibrant social settings.

Her advice to aspiring professionals emphasizes the importance of discipline, balance, and an early start to the day. For Leena, success is more than just professional achievements; it’s about personal growth, adaptability, and the lessons learned along the way. Each challenge has shaped her into the multifaceted professional she is today, living proof that determination and evolution are the cornerstones of a fulfilling career and life.

Dr. Ritu Khemani, Founder – Recura Physio

Dr. Ritu Khemani, the founder of Recura Physio, has built her career around evidence-based musculoskeletal physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and holistic patient care. Drawn by a deep fascination with the human body, movement, and healing, she envisioned a practice where science, empathy, and hands-on care could come together to transform lives. That vision took shape in Recura Physio, a space dedicated to empowering patients through movement and raising the overall standard of physiotherapy.

Her journey began with hospital-based practice before she set up a small clinic. What started with building trust within the community has grown into a practice that now treats patients across age groups and a wide range of conditions. From the recovery of her very first patient to the expansion of her team, every milestone has reinforced her belief in the transformative power of physiotherapy when it is practiced with both precision and passion.

The inspiration that keeps her going has always been her patients—their resilience and determination serve as her greatest motivators. Yet, her path as a woman entrepreneur in healthcare has not been without challenges. She has had to navigate the biases of a male-dominated ecosystem, balance personal and professional roles, and repeatedly prove her credibility. These obstacles, however, have only strengthened her resolve and sharpened her focus.

Beyond her profession, Dr. Khemani finds joy in reading, traveling, and dancing. She is also deeply invested in mentoring young physiotherapists, striving to bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and its practical application.

Her message to aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals is simple but powerful: stay consistent, stay curious, and never lose sight of your purpose. Challenges are inevitable, but a strong sense of “why” will always make the journey worthwhile. For those in healthcare in particular, she emphasizes that empathy is just as critical as expertise.

For Dr. Khemani, success is not defined by titles or numbers but by the collective story of Recura—the patients who placed their trust in her care and the team that shares her mission to elevate physiotherapy standards. Her story is a reminder that true achievement lies in making a lasting difference in people’s lives.

Priyanka Mandhani, Founder and Lead Legal Consultant – Juris Summit

Priyanka Mandhani, the Founder and Lead Legal Consultant at Juris Summit, has built an impressive career rooted in her vision of making law a bridge—not a barrier—to global entrepreneurship. As a corporate legal consultant and company secretary, she specializes in U.S. corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border business structuring, and contract negotiation. Her expertise spans across continents, guiding clients in the U.S., Europe, and Asia through the complexities of international compliance and corporate growth.

Her journey into law began with an innate curiosity about how businesses operate legally across borders. After qualifying as a Company Secretary, Priyanka pursued advanced diploma programs in U.S. Corporate and Taxation Law and International Business Law, a decision that allowed her to merge governance with international strategy. What began as a solo legal practice in Germany—navigating language barriers and cultural differences—has today evolved into Juris Summit, a global legal consultancy empowering startups, corporates, and entrepreneurs alike.

Over the years, Priyanka has worked with hundreds of clients, helping them draft, negotiate, and structure deals that are both compliant and growth-driven. Under her leadership, Juris Summit has become synonymous with precision, ethics, and innovation. She draws inspiration from women who challenge norms through intellect and perseverance, and her own story reflects that same spirit. In a profession often dominated by men, she has faced and overcome the challenges of earning credibility and building trust as a young woman leading international clients. For her, every challenge has been an opportunity—to grow, to learn, and to lead with greater conviction.

She encourages aspiring professionals to believe in their potential, to stay consistent, and to pursue excellence with courage and purpose. Building Juris Summit has been a testament to her belief that law, when practiced with foresight and empathy, can drive business innovation and empower entrepreneurs to grow fearlessly on the global stage.

Upasna Jain, Founder – Connects Group®️

Upasna Jain is the founder of Connects Group®️, a growing community-driven platform designed to bring businesses and people closer together through hyperlocal networking. What began as a single WhatsApp group in Cuffe Parade, Mumbai, has today expanded into multiple communities across cities, including Cuffe Connects, Gokul Connects in Goregaon, and Hauz Khas Connects in Delhi. With a mix of social media exposure, shout-outs on Instagram and YouTube, and on-ground events like networking meets, pop-ups, and collaborations, the Connects Group®️ has become a dynamic ecosystem for entrepreneurs to tell their stories, showcase their brands, and build lasting connections.

The idea was born from Upasna’s own experience as a small business owner, when she realized there was often a gap between buyers and sellers in the most local of spaces. While she had clients from as far away as Jamshedpur, many people within her own neighborhood didn’t even know what she was doing. This need for community-level visibility gave rise to the concept of “next-door networking,” and in July 2020, during the lockdown, she launched Cuffe Connects. Alongside this, she invested her time in learning new skills, completing digital marketing and photography courses, while also experimenting with other ventures like her gifting business Memory D’zines and her dessert brand Just Jars.

Her entrepreneurial spirit stems from a strong foundation. For over two decades, she has been a Director in her family-owned shipping business, learning early on the discipline and leadership required to manage large-scale operations. At the same time, she nurtured her creative passions, whether through business, photography, or building communities.

Upasna draws inspiration from many sources—her family, strangers she meets, and the people she works with. She credits her parents for instilling values of calm, empathy, and people-first thinking, and acknowledges that every day presents new lessons. While challenges have been part of her journey, she rejects the idea that being a woman has ever been a roadblock. In fact, she points out that most of the entrepreneurs in her groups are women, who are too busy breaking barriers to be slowed down by stereotypes.

Beyond her businesses, she continues to be actively involved in the shipping industry while pursuing nature photography and indulging her love for travel, reading, and film. Creativity, she believes, keeps her inspired and open to new ideas.

Her advice to entrepreneurs is simple yet powerful: “Show up.” For her, presence—whether on social media, at meetings, or in support of other brands—is the most important factor in building trust and credibility. She believes that in today’s world, a brand and its founder are inseparable, and faces build trust.

What started with one local group has now grown into a network of five across four cities, with ambitions to expand further and eventually bring communities together under a national umbrella. For Upasna, the journey is about more than business growth—it is about the strength of community, the positivity of shared success, and the belief that helping others grow is the surest way to grow oneself.

Alongside her professional pursuits, she is an avid photographer, poet, and reader, currently working on a project that captures the changing narrative of Bengal outside Bengal — showcased on her Instagram handle @ohmyamu.

Amrita is candid about the challenges women face in India from late-night shoots to asserting one’s place in male-dominated boardrooms. For her, these are not unusual struggles, but part of the reality every woman encounters in a patriarchal society. Her resilience is drawn from the women who raised her, and from her husband, Anupam Chatterjee, who encouraged her journey into photography.

Her message to aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals is simple but powerful: “Listen to yourself first, even if it means making mistakes. You’ll grow far more than by listening to conditioned voices.”

Despite her accomplishments, Amrita humbly resists being labeled a “success story.” To her, true success lies not in milestones but in ending each day with the honesty that her work has been purposeful and sincere. In that sense, she admits, there is a quiet success in the journey so far.

Natasha Suri, founder of Studio Ivory, is an architect by education whose passion naturally steered her towards interior design. With a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong technical foundation from her architectural background, Natasha specializes in residential interiors, crafting warm, functional, and adaptable spaces that mirror her clients’ personalities and lifestyles. Her journey began after graduating in 2013, when she joined Morphogenesis, working across commercial and residential projects. Over time, she found herself increasingly drawn to interior spaces, which led her to take on freelance work in 2016. By January 2018, she took the leap to start her own practice, launching Studio Ivory as a one-woman venture and gradually building a dedicated team around her.

Natasha’s path wasn’t without challenges. Coming from a Punjabi household, her choice to pursue an independent professional career, especially in design, was met with hesitation. Even friends were skeptical about entrusting her with architectural projects in the early days. A multiple crown winner and showstopper, Raunaq’s journey began in 2021 when she transitioned from passion to profession. She carries that legacy into every performance, every ramp walk, and every classroom.

Now five years into her modelling career, Raunaq continues to rise, adding acting to her growing list of achievements. Her message is grounded in hard-earned wisdom: believe in yourself, stay patient, and never shy away from the grind. Bandana Jain – Contemporary artist and Sustainable Design Advocate

Bandana Jain is rewriting the narrative of art—one fluted cardboard sculpture at a time. Born in the small town of Thakurganj in Bihar and raised in a traditional Jain family, Bandana’s journey is a powerful reminder that beginnings don’t define destinies. Against deeply rooted expectations of what a woman should be and where she should belong, she carved her own path—both literally and metaphorically.

Her early life instilled values of mindful living and resourcefulness. But it was a serendipitous moment during her time at Sir J.J. School of Art—a chance encounter with a discarded sheet of corrugated cardboard—that changed everything.

While most saw it as packaging waste, Bandana saw raw beauty, texture, and potential. What began as an experiment evolved into a powerful design language. Today, she is celebrated for creating large-scale art installations, luxury furniture, and public sculptures using cardboard—a material the world often throws away. Each piece carries her signature: gentle rebellion, purpose-driven design, and emotional depth.

Her work sits at the intersection of sustainable luxury—luxury that honours craftsmanship, narrative, and environmental responsibility. This unique positioning has earned her recognition from collectors, architects, and brands who value both design and intent.

Bandana’s journey is one of challenges and quiet triumphs. From persuading her family to let her study design, to defending her choice of a humble material, every step required courage. But she stayed true to her vision, believing that with perseverance, even perception could be redesigned.

“If someone walks away seeing beauty in the discarded or dares to create from what others throw away—then I’ve succeeded,” she says.

Today, Bandana mentors women from under-resourced communities, collaborates with corporates on sustainability, and continues to push the boundaries of form and material. Her story isn’t just about art—it’s about quiet rebellion, resilience, and redefining womanhood on her own terms.
