Dr. Sushrut Fuladi is a Consultant Nephrologist and Renal Transplant Physician at P.D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, and the Director of RenoDerm – The Skin & Kidney Clinic. Specializing in kidney diseases, dialysis, renal transplantation, and glomerular disorders, his practice is driven by a simple yet powerful goal: preventing kidney failure through timely diagnosis and evidence-based care.
His journey into nephrology began during his training in Internal Medicine, where he repeatedly encountered patients arriving with advanced kidney disease, often when dialysis had become unavoidable. Recognizing that most kidney disorders progress silently, he was inspired to specialize in nephrology with a focus on preserving kidney function through early detection, preventive care, and timely intervention.
After completing his MBBS and MD in Medicine, Dr. Fuladi pursued super-specialty training in Nephrology, followed by a Fellowship in Glomerular Diseases. Over the years, he has managed a wide spectrum of complex kidney conditions while remaining actively involved in renal transplantation, research, academics, and mentoring young doctors. For him, the most rewarding moments are seeing patients avoid dialysis through early treatment or regain a healthy, productive life after a successful kidney transplant.
Dr. Fuladi credits his patients as his greatest inspiration. Their resilience in the face of chronic illness continually reinforces his commitment to compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based medicine. He also acknowledges the invaluable guidance of his mentors, whose emphasis on clinical excellence and patient-centered care has shaped his professional journey.
Beyond his clinical responsibilities, he actively contributes to medical research, delivers academic lectures, writes educational articles, and conducts public awareness programs to promote kidney health. He is passionate about educating both patients and healthcare professionals, believing that awareness remains one of the most effective tools in reducing the burden of chronic kidney disease. Outside medicine, he values spending quality time with his family and maintaining an active lifestyle.
His message to aspiring medical professionals is clear: medicine is a lifelong journey of learning and service.
