Dr. Singh completed both his MBBS and Master’s in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) and Head & Neck Surgery from Dr. D. Y. Patil University, Pune. Among the biggest challenges in her journey has been mastering the precision that ophthalmic surgery demands. Dr. Monika Bansal, ENT Surgeon & Founder – Shankari ENT Clinic

Dr. Monika Bansal is an ENT Surgeon and the founder of Shankari ENT Clinic, Surat, a state-of-the-art clinic she built alongside her husband. With advanced clinical training in Rhinology and Sialoendoscopy from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, she is dedicated to delivering specialized ENT care while inspiring young doctors through her remarkable journey of resilience, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to medicine.

As the first doctor in her entire family, Dr. Bansal’s path to medicine was entirely self-made. Without guidance, coaching, or a medical background to rely on, she pursued her father’s dream with determination. She cleared both the NEET-UG and NEET-PG examinations in her first attempt, securing a two-digit rank in Gujarat. During her academic years, she also distinguished herself by becoming the only student from Gujarat to qualify the prestigious KVPY examination, earning an opportunity and scholarship to pursue research at IISER Bengaluru. Despite this achievement, she chose to follow her true passion—medicine.

Her greatest inspiration has always been her father, whose dream became her purpose. Throughout her journey, however, she encountered challenges that extended far beyond academics. Living away from home meant travelling alone, facing unsafe situations, and learning to navigate an unfamiliar world with courage. During medical college, she experienced social isolation after being ostracized and betrayed by a close group of friends, which led to severe anxiety. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her, she found the strength to start afresh, rebuild her confidence, and remain steadfast in pursuing her goals.

Residency brought another set of hurdles. Without family connections in the medical profession, she often had to work harder than others to earn surgical opportunities. She recalls facing bias and discouragement from some seniors, yet refused to let those experiences diminish her confidence or her passion for surgery. She remained determined to prove herself through hard work, knowledge, and skill.

Perhaps the greatest test of her resilience came during her second year of postgraduate training when she met with a devastating road accident while rushing to attend an emergency. She sustained fractures of both her femur and humerus and spent nearly a year recovering. Even while walking with the support of a walker, she continued attending the operating theatre whenever possible, determined not to let the accident derail her surgical training. Once recovered, she worked tirelessly to regain the experience she had missed, emerging stronger than ever.

Outside her profession, Dr. Bansal enjoys painting, gardening, singing, and dancing—creative pursuits that help her maintain balance amidst the demands of surgery.

Her message to aspiring doctors is both heartfelt and empowering: never quit because others expect you to. Success belongs to those who remain steadfast despite setbacks. She encourages young professionals to understand not only medicine but also human psychology, develop emotional resilience, remain humble, and never allow hardship to change their values or character. According to her, a strong belief system and unwavering integrity are just as important as academic excellence.

For Dr. Monika Bansal, success is not defined by ranks, degrees, or achievements alone. It lies in rising every time life knocks you down, staying true to your purpose, and using your journey to make the path easier for those who follow. Guided by the unconditional support of her parents and brother, and driven by an enduring love for surgery, she continues to heal patients while mentoring and motivating the next generation of doctors to pursue their dreams with courage, compassion, and resilience.

At just 24, Dr. Shweta Kumari is already making her mark in dentistry through her commitment to clinical excellence, research, and patient-centered care. A young dentist passionate about painless, aesthetic, and preventive dentistry, she is currently gaining valuable clinical experience while preparing for the next phase of her career—pursuing an MDS and eventually establishing her own dental practice. Her vision is simple yet powerful: to create a space where patients experience dentistry without fear and leave with healthier, more confident smiles.

For Dr. Kumari, dentistry was the perfect blend of science, artistry, and human connection. Fascinated by the transformative power of a smile, she found purpose in a profession that allows her to heal with her hands while making a lasting difference in people’s confidence and well-being.

Although she graduated only six months ago, her journey has already been marked by notable achievements. She performed well in her postgraduate entrance examination and is now working towards securing an MDS seat. Her dedication during dental school earned her the National Dentist Award 2025 for Best Intern, along with an Award for Academic and Research Excellence from her college and the Global Women Award. Alongside her clinical training, she has developed a strong interest in research, authoring 10 research and review papers published in national and international journals—an accomplishment that reflects her commitment to evidence-based dentistry and continuous learning.

Dr. Kumari considers her family to be her greatest source of inspiration. Their unwavering encouragement has given her the confidence to pursue her ambitions without hesitation. As someone just beginning her professional journey, she feels fortunate to have received constant support, allowing her to focus on learning, growing, and building a strong foundation for the future.

Beyond clinical practice, she has recently ventured into content creation, using social media to spread dental awareness and simplify academic concepts for students. She also shares glimpses of her life as a young dentist and plans to document her postgraduate journey, making dental education more accessible while inspiring aspiring healthcare professionals.

Her advice to young professionals is rooted in authenticity: skills can be acquired, but consistency, kindness, and integrity are what truly define success. Dr. Rachit Jain, ENT Surgeon

The greatest influence in his life has always been his mother. She had aspired to become a doctor herself but was unable to pursue her dream due to limited resources and the lack of proper guidance. Determined that her son would have the opportunities she never did, she became his strongest pillar of support, encouraging him through every obstacle. Her sacrifices and unwavering faith continue to inspire him every day.

Throughout his medical journey, Dr. Jain has learned that success is never instantaneous. Every examination, challenge, and setback became an opportunity to grow stronger, more disciplined, and more resilient. These experiences have shaped not only his professional capabilities as a surgeon but also his compassionate approach towards patient care.
