Smita Sanghi, Entrepreneur & jewellery designer
Smita Sanghi is an entrepreneur and jewellery designer whose journey reflects creativity, passion, and the courage to follow one’s dreams at any stage of life. With over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, she has built her career around innovation, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for aesthetics.
Her entrepreneurial journey began long before jewellery. Smita initially made a mark in the creative space through candle making, where her work was supplied to several prominent lounges in South Mumbai. This early success strengthened her confidence as an entrepreneur and allowed her to explore her creative instincts further.
After marriage, she moved to Jaipur, the vibrant Pink City known for its rich heritage of jewellery and craftsmanship. It was here that she reconnected with a childhood passion she had always carried with her, styling, accessorising, and creating pieces that were unique yet timeless. Friends and acquaintances often admired her sense of style and sought her advice on accessorising. What began as informal styling guidance soon inspired her to design jewellery pieces herself.
At the age of 38, Smita took a bold step and launched her jewellery brand, Joypur Jewels. The brand specialises in 92.5 hallmarked silver jadau jewellery finished with luxurious 22-carat gold plating. Inspired by the royal heritage of Rajasthan, the designs reflect a beautiful blend of tradition and modern sophistication. Each piece is handcrafted by skilled karigars, ensuring attention to detail, authenticity, and elegance.
Joypur Jewels has grown steadily over the years and has participated in several prestigious exhibitions and showcases, including Numaish in Dubai, IMC Mumbai, Design One Mumbai, Jalsa Delhi, Spicy Sangria, and FICCI Bengaluru. Through these platforms, the brand has gained recognition for its realistic designs, high-end craftsmanship, and versatile collections that cater to weddings, celebrations, and personal milestones.
Beyond her professional life, Smita is a proud mother of two daughters and enjoys travelling with her family. She also maintains a vibrant social life and begins each day with spiritual practice, following the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism through daily chanting.
Her message to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple yet powerful: age is just a number. It is never too late to pursue your passion. Smita firmly believes that where there is a will, there is always a way. She also advocates for women uplifting one another, believing that every woman carries unique strengths that deserve to be celebrated. For her, true success lies not only in building a brand but also in inspiring confidence and positivity in others.
Anuradha M Agarwal, Founder and Director of WeThinkNorth
Anuradha M Agarwal is the Founder and Director of WeThinkNorth, a strategy first brand and digital marketing agency operating across India and Singapore. Through her work, she focuses on building meaningful and scalable brands while helping businesses develop strong, authentic identities. At her core, she sees herself not just as an entrepreneur, but also as a marketer and strategist who believes that behind every successful brand lies a human story.
Her interest in marketing began early through a natural curiosity about people and behavior. She always enjoyed reading, writing, and observing how people think, what they trust, and what makes certain brands memorable. After completing her M.Sc in Communications and Entrepreneurship from the University of Nottingham and gaining experience working with multiple brands, starting her own venture felt like a natural next step. Combining her passion for entrepreneurship with her understanding of marketing led to the creation of WeThinkNorth.
Over the past decade, her journey has been defined by continuous learning, unlearning, and rebuilding. She has worked with more than sixty brands ranging from multinational companies to emerging startups. Her work has also gained recognition through achievements such as being shortlisted as communication leader of the year in 2020, also three times at Young Lions and Young Spikes. In addition, she has spoken at global platforms including TEDx and Horasis.
However, for Anuradha, the true measure of success lies beyond recognition. She takes pride in building an organization where sixty percent of the workforce is women and where performance is balanced with empathy. Expanding the company’s presence across India and Singapore has been another significant milestone in her journey.
She draws inspiration from women who build powerfully, choosing consistency and substance. As a woman entrepreneur, she has experienced challenges that are often subtle but persistent. These include having to prove competence repeatedly and balancing professional ambition with societal expectations. There have been many moments where she found herself as the youngest person in the room, sometimes the only woman, and occasionally both. Over time, she learned that credibility grows through consistent work and that eventually results speak louder than assumptions.
Beyond running her business, Anuradha enjoys public speaking and mentoring young professionals. As a TEDx speaker, she has addressed audiences at institutions such as SP Jain Institute of Management and Research in Singapore. She also mentors aspiring professionals, especially women, through accelerator programs and speaking engagements at institutions like Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication and Jindal Business School. Her interests also include developing intellectual work around marketing, AI powered branding, and human centered communication.
Her message to aspiring entrepreneurs is grounded in realism. Entrepreneurship, she believes, is often glamorized on social media, but in reality it requires operational discipline, emotional resilience, and long term thinking. Skills, reputation, and integrity all grow with time and consistency.
For Anuradha M Agarwal, success is the ability to create impact while remaining authentic. She views her journey not as a completed story but as an evolving process, and that ongoing growth is what excites her the most.
Dr Charuta Bahulekar, Prosthodontist, Founder of Health Spectrum
Dr Charuta Bahulekar is a Prosthodontist and the founder of Health Spectrum, a medical coworking space designed to support and empower healthcare professionals.
After completing her post graduation, her dream was simple. She wanted to become a skilled dentist and open her own clinic. However, when she began planning her setup, she realised how financially demanding it truly was, especially after years of investing in education. Alongside financial pressure, there were external circumstances and practical hurdles that made starting independently more challenging than she had imagined.
What initially felt like a pause slowly revealed itself as redirection.
As she reflected on her situation, she recognised that many talented young doctors face similar financial and structural barriers when they want to begin their practice. Instead of building just a clinic for herself, she chose to build a shared space that could make it easier for other doctors to start, practice, and grow without overwhelming overhead burdens. That decision marked her transition from practitioner to founder.
Her journey has not been linear. It has included long nights, difficult conversations, self doubt, and moments when things did not move as planned. But it has also been filled with growth, courage, and clarity of purpose. What began as a personal dream evolved into a larger vision of creating opportunity for others. She truly believes this is just the beginning.
Her greatest inspiration has always been her parents. From her decision to pursue medicine to her step into entrepreneurship, they never doubted her potential. Their consistent belief in her became the foundation of her self confidence. As a woman, the challenges were often subtle rather than dramatic. Being taken seriously in financial discussions, negotiating with vendors who underestimated her, and proving that she was neither too young nor too ambitious required quiet resilience. There were moments of emotional pressure and doubt, but remembering her parents’ faith in her kept her steady.
Outside of work, she values simplicity. She finds comfort and joy in spending time with her cats, who are her stress relievers after long days. She loves travelling, seeing it as a way to reset, recharge, and gain perspective. Recently married, she now shares this passion for travel with a supportive partner who stands firmly by her ambitions. No matter how busy life becomes, she makes space for experiences beyond work because growth is not only professional but personal too.
If asked about success, she does not see herself at the finish line. She sees herself in motion. The journey has included delays, financial stress, emotional highs and lows, and unexpected turns. But she has learned that what feels like rejection or setback can actually be preparation for something greater.
She is still building. Still learning. Still evolving. And deeply grateful for every step that shaped her path.
